Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy

Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that works by helping to develop understanding around the links between our emotional world and relational difficulties in life. DIT is a NICE-recommended treatment for depression and takes place over 16 weekly sessions.

The Approach

DIT is a time limited, structured therapy. Together, we identify a central theme - an emotional pattern that seems to sit at the heart of what you are struggling with. Once we name and understand this pattern, we work through it together in a collaborative, focused way.

What it can help with

DIT may be helpful if you are experiencing low mood or depression, difficulties in close relationships, feelings of loneliness, or repeated patterns in relationships.

I offer a short initial phone call so we can explore whether DIT is the right approach.

What to expect

We begin with an initial consultation, which gives us the chance to meet, talk through what's brought you to therapy, and explore whether DIT feels like the right fit for you.

If we decide to work together, sessions take place weekly, each lasting 50 minutes.
